A Different Way to Think About Chiropractic Care

We take a thoughtful, precise approach to chiropractic care in South Edmonton—starting with understanding how your body is moving and responding, not simply where you feel symptoms.

what does a chiropractic adjustment actually do?

An Adjustment Isn't About Putting A Bone Back Into Place

An adjustment provides specific input to the nervous system, changing the information the brain receives about body position, movement, and muscle tension.

That information can influence how the brain coordinates movement and stability — including how muscles tighten or relax to help you move, sit, or stand.

how do we decide where to adjust?

We Look Beyond Where You Feel It

Where you feel something isn't always the only place we need to look. We consider the whole spine, along with what we find during your assessment, to determine which areas may be contributing most.

Do Chiropractic ajdustments always involve twisting or popping?

Precise. Gentle. Specific.

The way we adjust depends on the person, their stage of life, and what we find in our assessment.

At  Momentum Chiropractic, we primarily use low-force, instrument-assisted chiropractic techniques, including the handheld Integrator™ with Torque Release Technique.

This allows us to provide gentle chiropractic care without traditional twisting or cracking.

how do we know if care is helping?

Your Body's Response Matters

The adjustment provides a specific input and gives your body an opportunity to respond.  We pay attention to what changes, what improves, and what still needs attention.

Meaningful change may be less pain, but it can also look like greater tolerance for an activity, easier movement, fewer flare-ups, faster recovery, or more confidence doing something important to you.

how often will i need chiropractic care?

Your Life Isn't Static.  Neither is your Care.

What your body needs can change over time. An injury, a new activity, pregnancy, postnatal changes, or the everyday demands of life can all affect how you're moving and feeling.

Recommendations aren't fixed. We pay attention to how your body responds, what you're working toward, and how your needs change over time, then adjust the approach accordingly.

what you gain over time

Care That Helps You Navigate What Your Body Is Telling You

As we work together, you'll become more familiar with what helps your body function well, what you can manage yourself, and when additional support may be useful.

Over time, you'll have a better sense of how your body responds and what to do when something changes — so you can respond sooner, spend less time figuring it out, and get back to life.

The Why Behind Our Approach is a short narrated presentation by Dr. Sarah Wu that explains how your body senses movement and position, responds to the demands place on it, and what an adjustment is intended to support.
